Little Green Fingers: Growing Beyond the Project

As Little Green Fingers reaches its final milestone, we celebrate two years of collaboration, learning and innovation across the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Cyprus and Serbia.

Final Conference Highlights

The Final Conference brought together partners, educators and researchers to reflect on project results, share inspiring pilot experiences and discuss how the methodology will continue to support outdoor learning, environmental citizenship and children's participation.

A special thank you goes to Professor Dr. Yiannis Georgiou from the Cyprus University of Technology for his inspiring presentation on the use of digital tools in this field and for sharing his expertise with us.

LGF Talks

Growing Beyond Erasmus+

The methodology was further disseminated through the Scientix OUTSTEAM TeachMeet, where KidHub presented additional educational resources inspired by Little Green Fingers — including the paper "Science Playground as a Model of Education for Sustainability" by Tijana Jovanović Petrović and Tatjana Radaković, published in the proceedings of the 3rd International Conference "Education – A View to the Future".

The work was also shared through Paideia News (Cyprus), published by the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education (CYCERE), and the Synapsis Conference Proceedings in Greece — strengthening the project's academic and professional visibility across Europe.

From Little Green Fingers to Science Playground

Building on the LGF methodology, Science Playground is now growing in Serbia, transforming outdoor spaces into places for biodiversity, inquiry, STEAM learning and children's co-design. This work was also recognised through the 2026 Scientix Organisers Award.

Although the Erasmus+ project is approaching its conclusion, Little Green Fingers continues to grow through educator training, digital resources, outdoor learning initiatives and new Science Playgrounds.

🌿 Environmental citizenship is not a single project — it is a lifelong journey.
